This two-week exploration will take you to Columbia, Missouri's sister city, Hakusan, Japan. You stay in the International College of Technology dorms with a home stay and Tokyo visit included. Students will join Hakusan students in learning and exploring the science, nature, and culture of this amazing place. This program is open to a max of 12 high school students and is application based. The cost of this trip with all transportation, lodging, meals, and tours for two weeks is about $6,000. However, the city of Hakusan Japan subsidizes much of the activities while there, brining the student cost to about $3,500. More than 60% of the cost is the airline ticket.

Nothing! We are offering two back to back Rocky Mountain trips this year as opposed to two different locations. This allows our van rentals and staffing to be more efficient, which allowed us to not increase costs this year at a time when travel costs keep going up. The two trips will pass each other in the middle of the night on the inbound and outbound Amtrak trains as trip 1 heads home and trip 2 heads out.
Wild Trek rotates our trip opportunities and we are not going to the Grand Tetons this summer. However, Columbia Public Schools is offering a trip there this summer! Check out their Facebook page for more information. CLICK HERE
Teachers and other non-profit entities are welcome to send us information about their Summer trip offering and we will post it here!
Wild Trek Expeditions provides unique place-based educational and travel opportunities focusing primarily on nature trips and summer camps where students can learn, explore, and be kids in some incredible places. Our staff has many years of student travel experience and has run the largest trip program in the country, right here in Missouri. You can rest assured that your child will have a great time while you enjoy unbeatable comfort and communication during the entire process. Our offerings will be ever-expanding to include local day trips to long-distance week-long experiences. Wild Trek is a 501 3C non-profit organization. Our trips are "at cost" with all money paid going towards our costs: lodging, transportation, food, supplies, and staffing. This along with out of the box creative thinking, keep our trips far below what you can find at other private student travel groups and cheaper than anything we can find anywhere.
